| Story of a Woodsman |
One fine day is a poem that my mom wrote
about me. She wrote it after I had a chainsaw kicked back and the end of the
spinning chain was then stuck in my throat. It was not a day I would like to
relive !
She first published this poem in Logging Magazine in the late 1980's right after
it happened. I have put it on the web for the world to see. I knew I was working
on a dangerous tree that day, but I thought I had it under control. I
guess in hindsight, it boils down to the fact the the chainsaw was stronger and
faster than me.
